It is HEAVEN spring here!!--we went on a bike ride last night to check out a new trail in the other Holmgren Estates neighborhood, and the VIEWS and the scent of blossoms and perfect temperatures, plus flying through on a bike (without a trailer) felt other-worldly.

We worked hard spring cleaning the garage yesterday (& loved that we had the trailer to take things to the dump--sadly, including some paraphernalia that reminded us of you: the collapsed balsam-wood kayak, the big orange cone, & various torch devices out on the patio).

Otherwise, Maddie turned 21 in Provo, we saw Emily at two track meets, Spencer at his Region tennis match (lost, but it was CLOSE, and against upper classmen, so no shame), & Anne graduate from the D.A.R.E. program.  Emily was kidnapped for a 3AM breakfast by Student Council & sworn in for next year, & in preparation for Trek, we had a great YW at the Family History Library Wed night.  I'm also getting lots of practice this week keeping the peace.  As the younger girls fight, I keep thinking of Pres. Eyring's counsel that teaching Faith in Jesus Christ will lead us to correct any problems we have, so I look at Anne and Lucy, and think, "Have Faith!" wishing I knew how to teach better!! I think I was into a coasting-Mom mode with so many of you growing up, and this baby is making me re-think my efforts! (What was I ever thinking getting Anne & Lucy tablets for Christmas?!!!!)

It was fun to have Rachel, Savannah, and Brooklyn home from college this Sunday.  Rachel & Savannah went skydiving without me!!!, & Rachel's mission papers are about to go in, but as I feel so energy-less and near-useless, it's nice to see them, and remember good moments of my life where I felt such joy in serving, and the ability to do it.  In theory, I can hopefully get there again one day, haha.

The kids are all competing now to see who can teach Jane to ride her bike first, but at our first try yesterday, she would tremble & scream, "I can't ride that bike!! I'm not big enough, and I will DIE!!! Do you really want me falling down and hurting my arms and hands and head?!!!!!" She is quite the drama girl! She was already calmed down about the idea today, but she seems to greet every idea with either utter despair or gasps of joy! She's also taken to spelling out words instead of saying them (except she can't spell, so it's pretty funny): "Since I ate my dinner can I have A-N-Z-E?--dessert??"

Love you soso much!! Bishop mentioned your great letter in meetings this morning--everyone still loves to hear how you're doing! You're amazing!!!  So much love! Mom
