Remembering the Way to Idaho

Summer has started, and right off the bat, the girls had Girls Camp while Brent was at High Adventure.  All had a marvelous time, and it was fun to hear of Emily and Maddie growing closer being able to attend Camp together (for this Mom who once knew no sisters!)

 And we reveled here at home, being able to use coupons to eat out for only $5 (oh, we did that before Girls Camp, but Maddie slept in), and tried out the new Syracuse swimming pool while we only had 4 people to pay for:

Between cancelled trips (due to unexpected funerals), baby due dates hovering around Thanksgiving, hectic work schedules, and all kinds of other excuses, it had been an embarrassingly long time since we've gone to Idaho (like since April Conference 2013), so after our campers returned, we scheduled Brian out of Friday, and took off this weekend for a few days.  It was SO pleasant to be w/ family, relax away from worries, and enjoy time together.  We really took it easy, playing outside, enjoying Grandpa's Car Wash, the gorgeous Botanical Gardens at BYU Idaho (named after Grandpa Ricks!), some cards, watching Daylen at Crossfit Games, and visiting.  Now that we remember the way, hopefully we'll get back to visiting more often!
