dragonflies

Some days, it's easy to see the magic.  Like this day--the children were running around the yard w/ socks on their hands to catch dragonflies (they opted for socks after being bitten once or twice).  We've had swarms of them, but their bright colors and non-agressive attitudes make them fun moment-pets.  I also managed to book a hotel for Brian and my anniversary downtown at the  SLC Red Lion for just $50! We'd been checking for good deals, and finally decided to try for a week night (our anniversary is this Thurs), and it did the trick! Nice to have something to look forward to this week, while we're mournfully missing the Mildenhall Reunion in KC!! (I still have the urge to jump in the van and get there now!)
