Fun week here-- finished a delicious Ann Patchett book which made me want to watch the play "Our Town" that I thoroughly disliked in school, but had me thinking about how precious the simple daily moments are all week this time around. I LOOOOOOVE good words! Dad had Friday off for Veteran's day, and while Anne was at Brother Larson's, we had a great time getting together with Nate & Stacey for dinner and visiting. Life is always better after being with them. We had a great RS service committee breakfast Saturday morning, where I was reminded what a blessing it is that we all have different strengths, then I picked up the kids to run in the Turkey Trot. It was cold, but ended up being a beautiful morning--we only won a bottle of Martinelli's from racing this year, but Seth won stuffing in the drawing! and I was just thrilled to get my average mile speed below 8.5 min--almost my best record! The girls had their community orchestra concert Saturday afternoon where I got teary singing "God Bless America" as a Veteran's Day closing tribute, and Anne went to a church dance that night while boys watched football, and girls watched a Hallmark movie. Otherwise, good visits during the week, and I CLEANED THE KITCHEN TILE GROUT WITH A TOOTHBRUSH! (I must have too much time!). The girls and I (and Larissa Fertig) enjoyed a patriotic concert for Veteran's Day at the Garland Tabernacle tonight, and they highlighted this amazing local family (from Thatcher) who lost 4 sons in WW II! You've probably seen the memorial in Midland Square, but I never knew the story. (We also enjoyed spying all of your friends on the Garland missionary board). Love you, Love you! Love, Mom
