HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY!!

We celebrated Friday the 13th with Lucy's 5th Birthday! She LOVES animal prints so much that she's even convinced this Mom that they might actually be cute.  We had Lucky Charms for breakfast as she opened her presents (notice beautiful bouquet of ROSES that Brian had DELIVERED(!!!) to me for Valentine's Day!!).  She had fun wearing new clothes, playing with legos, and cuddling her pink zebra.  We enjoyed a fruit tart that night while watching A Charlie Brown Valentine (w/ Lucy!).  Lucy is such spunky fun.  We love her fresh creativity and fun independence.  She takes care of herself when she's sick--putting herself to bed, cleaning up vomit, etc.!--only coming to me to say, "MOM--I NEED MEDICINE NOW"-and she's usually right! She LOVES taking care of babies and never tires of making Jane happy, she is a great singer and dancer, and is great at just enjoying life! About a week after her birthday, she started mentioning things I forgot to give her for her birthday, but since she says about EVERYthing--including parties, 5 different kinds of cakes, every Frozen item, and each baby doll she's laid eyes on, "Get that for my birthday Mom!"--I have tried to explain to her that there were MANY things I didn't get, since our house could never hold them all! Such a fun age, where so much makes her happy!
