Cornycopia of November fun

We've had THIS much snow for November/December--twice (notice the green grass), and I'm feeling like if this is what global warming is like, I can sure find a way to see that silver lining (read:  NO SHOVELING MAKES ME HAPPY!)
In other news, Brent was chosen to participate in the District (as in school district) Honor Band, and happened upon our long lost cousin Tucker! Fun to see family at the concert, and they sounded great, while he had a fabulous time playing in a more dedicated environment.

In re-connecting with family, we also found out that Tucker's brother Tanner was engaged, and had the fun of throwing a family shower for his fiance.  We had a fun "Fall in Love" theme brunch w/ our first (and very possibly last) attempt at caramel apples:

I replaced our Garage Door keypad after knocking it one last fatal time, off of the wall w/ the van mirror :) (the van mirror is not doing so well either)--there is a power that comes from realizing you can successfully screw something to your house AND have it operate!

And Lucy constantly enjoys the residual effects of her amazing Primary Teacher, Becky Morrill (a personal favorite of anyone she meets).  This was her "Scripture Power" cape that she wore for nearly a week straight--she would happily tell anyone she asked, "I wish I could always go to my church class!"

Jane will probably never be too old to be held,

but she is now old enough to make her very own messes! (and crawl away before I can capture all of the flour she coated herself with)
Emily got her picture on the wall for a 4.0 GPA!! AND her Jr. High picture is remarkably adorable! She earns it by making cool projects like this virus model
The children also made cool things for the Elementary School's Art night--these shredded-water-bottle chandeliers were my favorite
Lucy's ballet class got into the season with some awesome turkey hats:

THEN, we were thrilled to have Mom join us for Thanksgiving.  We hosted Nate & Stacey's family, and Grandma Stewart.  Weather pleasant enough for walks, WAY TOO MUCH delicious food, and best company ever! Maddie and Emily humored me and my veggie platter desires:
