Maddie, Brent, and Emily (after months of practices) participated in the Odgen Temple Cultural Event (at the Dee Events Center), and I happily got to hitchhike along (w/ Jane even!) as a driver #lovedriving12seater. It was a phenomenal experience, and the minute the temple closed over 3 years ago, I started praying that our family would be able to participate in the re-dedication as much as possible. The girls sang in the (jewel toned) choir, and Brent joined the stake youth in the "Hoe Down" number as part of Ogden's history. Emily wanted to sing or do SOMETHING as Pres. Monson walked in, and was thrilled at the spontaneous eruption of "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet" by the youth. After a long Saturday, we enjoyed the re-dedication Sunday. It is BEAUTIFUL, and I LOVED being able to go again Friday night for Ward Temple Night.
Brent turned 15! Gifts: Plastic Horsehead?, BYU Headphones, 9 holes of golf w/ Dad, and cash for itunes cards and hanging out w/ friends :). He had a Yurt campout for his birthday, and we celebrated w/ Stuffed Pizza and German Chocolate Cake when he got home:)
Jane, though still my pocket of joy, persists in growing and is determined to be a baby for as BRIEFLY as possible--Brian installed the stair gate, and she's suddenly close to walking!!
Lucy's photographing skills:
We attended a local Chinese Cultural Fair so Emily could get some extra credit. We enjoyed costumes, free dumplings, and learning Chinese yo-yo skills!
[REMAINING PICTURES STUCK ON OLD COMPUTER HARDDRIVE, AND HARD TO READ EXTERNAL DRIVE...ENJOY THE SUSPENSE]
