No Shared Birthday!!

There was a lot on the calendar that I figured I would miss, due to my "due date" but look at how much Baby Jane let me still participate in!!:  Anne playing Christmas carols at a retirement home--it was good to get outside of my pregnant self-absorbed self for a minute and visit with the sweet residents there.

Emily's 12th Birthday!! (she had wanted to share it w/ the new baby, but I don't think she'll mind keeping it for herself!).  She got a cute new outfit, makeup, and some boots.  We had chicken pillows and spinach salad w/ dirt cake for dessert :).

Then, Mom arrived, and since the baby hadn't, we went to lunch, ran a few last errands, were excited to hear about Baby Benjamin beating Jane here, even though he was due a MONTH LATER!!!, and tried to pretend we were just enjoying a visit together while we waited and WAITED!! We had Nate and Stacey's family over for taco salad and our annual Gingerbread house decorating--tried burnt sugar frosting to glue them together--a real hit!

Anne also lost her first tooth!!!--I didn't lose my first tooth until 2nd grade, so I never believed her saying she had a wiggly one.  (I'm wondering if she forced a tooth loose though, just out of competitiveness since morning Kindergarten was ahead of afternoon in how many teeth they'd lost :) )

The tooth fairy forgot the 1st night, but the 2nd night, not only did the tooth fairy come, but HER BABY SISTER DID TOO!!!!
