Due to Emily's AMAZING typing speed AND accuracy, she was selected as the fastest 4th grade keyboarder from her school, and was able to attend the Davis School District Keyboard challenge!! We had fun visiting w/ another family there from our stake (whose daughter, from Brent's class was there for 6th grade...Brent says the only reason he didn't win is b/c he was absent that day!). Apparently there are a lot of fast typists in our district, because we were able to go home after the first round :), but her computer teacher gave the 3 students from her school generous gift bags!
Emily also participated in our 3rd Utah History Program (I think Brian and I will soon have the whole thing memorized ourselves!) where she was honored to be chosen as one of the square dancers! (and yes, she thought it was great to stay after school 3 days to practice, even if her partner was a nose-picker!)
And Anne, seems to be recovered WELL from her surgery--she's talking TONS now, and seems to be sleeping so well, she's convinced she doesn't need naps (here is proof that we're not convinced):
Our camera is full of pictures of her, as she can't seem to stand NOT having her picture taken if she sees the camera (nice to be at that stage where you feel beautiful even if your hair's not done and you're still in jammies :)), so here is proof of how alive she has become!:
